Pandora Redux

FIN!

I spent all quarter for fantastic illustration working on reworking a myth. I chose the story of Pandora. I made her into a human sleeper agent created by the Greek Gods/Goddesses who are aliens from another planet in my version. Meh. I enjoyed this project but I wish I could have done more to it. There are so many other characters I wanted to illustrate but I just ran out of time. Partilaly my fault and partially the class load's fault.

The Alien Characters are meant to be different types of lizard/humanoids, their colors and appearances relating to their given powers. I enjoyed this! :)

Enjoy!

The Last of the Sketchbook! (for class anyhoo)

So yes, we finished up the entire sketchbook course and our assignments today. Officially done! Whoo!

I did enjoy the class and all of the assignments but I'm glad to get back to doing more things my way. I will take some things I learned with me. :)

Enjoy.

Escape From WORK....

I was inspired to draw a girl who was on her work break, sitting out on the grass against a tree. She is imagining escaping the confines of her life and so I drew the cigarette smoke coming out of her mouth transforming into a hawk and she is 'flying' away with it. Alas, such escapism is fleeting.

I've often wished I was a bird and I could just fly away and live a simple life.

Maybe in the next life. ;)
